When a patient is not able to breathe properly, a ventilator is used to support the breathing process to save patient’s life. There may be different conditions where a patient is not able to breathe on its own and needs ventilator care. The most common conditions include:
- ARDS (Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome)
- COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder)
- Asthma
- Brain Trauma/Injury
- Cardiac Arrest
- Pneumonia
